To whom this may concern, this is my journey with Gerry, and I am extremely grateful for everything.

I met Gerry back in May of 2022 since it was time to get back into shape!
I am 54 years old, and I weighed 221 pounds and wasn't feeling great. Jerry sat down with me for an initial consultation to discuss what I wanted to accomplish. After the initial meeting, Gerry created a diet and workout plan with the goal of losing 20-25 pounds over an 8-week timeframe. The plan was simple to follow in terms of the diet and the workout, so it didn't feel like it was overwhelming, therefore, I was able to follow it exactly to plan.
After 8 weeks, I did accomplish the goal of losing the weight we discussed. Recently, Jerry created a new plan since I was now all in to see how lean and fit, I could become. From May to September, I have lost 36 pounds and my waist went from a 38 to a 32-33. Honestly, I feel amazing and the sacrifice in the beginning, which was tough initially, has become much easier and now enjoyable to the point that I have worked out for 61 straight days.
If you aren't feeling great about your physique.
I would strongly recommend meeting with Gerry since he is very knowledgeable in terms of diet and workout. Anytime I have questions, he is always available to answer any questions so take advantage of his expertise. You will look and feel great physically and mentally.
There you go!!

Last year I made the conscious decision to do one more show.30 years of grinding through the suffering and no regrets. I vowed to myself though that “this is it” and NOW my only objective is to guide others to that stage. Prepping someone for a show is probably MORE mentally and physically demanding on me than my own prep. It’s a lot of responsibility!!The outcome is all in my hands.
Scary and stressful but in a sick way I love it😊
If you ever worked out in the same gym I have, you would think I’m oblivious to everything around me. I’m too focused as it may seem BUT…. its just the opposite. NOTHING goes un-noticed with me. It’s the U.S Marine in me!!I know exactly who is putting forward the effort and I can tell a mile away when someone’s committed to their diet (or most of the time…. NOT). I’ve been analyzing peoples Physiology/Psychology for more than half my life. It’s something I pride myself on. Having said that, when someone with great potential is around it stands out to me. When I say that I’m not just referring to physical(aesthetic)possibilities…. I’m also referring to their character. I can see that in their eyes. They have a certain “presence”. It’s amazing to witness. The ironic thing is THEY sometimes don’t know it themselves. It’s my purpose to get them to “see it” and realize their value.
A couple years back…. after finishing up a contest season with my incredible contest clients, a gentleman at my gym approached me and said he had been thinking about taking things “more serious” and was going to come talk to me soon. I’ve noticed Mike training for years. He possessed impressive potential. A year or two went by and Mike and I would occasional talk here and there. It was evident Mike was someone who was organized like myself (or just as crazy…lol) I started prepping myself for my personal “last show” but kept it secret for everyone (even my own family). Mike probably thought I was physically ill, as I shriveled away but I didn’t say anything. I was looking gaunt….lol. Long story short (this article about Mike …not me) I competed at the NPC New England’s that year and did acquire all the goals I set for myself. It was time for everyone else now,
Mike finally came up to me and said, “it was time”. He had always wanted to do a competition and asked me to help him. It was a great honor to accept and we began our journey. We decided on the show we would do, and it officially began. Mike opened up to me about a lot in his life and how he let himself go after an injury and some “life” challenges. We put all that behind us and pushed on. Months upon months went by and we modified EVERYTHING and every aspect of his nutrition, training, etc. The journey was extremely tough but no matter what was advised…Mike followed the plan. No matter how much it sucked at times…. Mike persevered!!He explained to him at the beginning that things will become extremely challenging mentally and not to worry. We were in this together!
SIXTY THREE POUNDS later…..7 months of determination, sacrifice and commitment…. Mike and I showed up to give our all at the 2018 NPC New England Championships. Literally THE biggest amateur show in the region and Mike was there to stand toe to toe with the best of the best. Mike earned his feet on that stage!
After a long exhausting but exciting day…Mike stood on stage proudly holding his trophies with a smile(and its tough to get him to smile😊)We DIT IT! Took home TWO top 5 wins!!
5TH Place in the Classic Physique Novice division
5th place in the Classic Physique Masters Over 35 division.
I'm so damn proud of Mike. To know how important it was to him to finally accomplish this dream and have his family watch the look of pride in his eyes was priceless!!
*Thank you, Mike, for letting be part of your Journey!!

My fitness journey started in my early 20’s. I slowly started introducing a healthier lifestyle after I had killed some not so healthy habits I had acquired during my teenage years. I was fortunate enough to walk away from a drug habit cold turkey and for that I am forever grateful. Having the addictive personality, naturally the void needed to be filled so fitness became the new obsession. Fast forward 2 years ( after the at home work outs and planet fitness graduation) I find myself at Hampstead Health & Fitness. I came there with the intention to find a suitable coach to bring me through my first figure competition. After a few startup preps and fails, I put my bodybuilding dream on hold and trained power lifting non-competitively for a year or so.
I had left HHF for a short while and came back to meet my now good friend Molly Messina. When I first met her she was just starting a prep for her very first bikini show. I watched this chick kill it in the gym and transform right in front of my eyes . She competes, winning her Pro card at her first show. She looked amazing but who the f*#k was her coach?!
She lite the fire but it was Gerry that kept it burning. I contacted him in late June. I was eager, but he put my thoughts of doing a fall show to the side and gave me a date for the Cutler Classic the following spring. Before even giving me any type of written plan, I verbally worked with him for 4 months. He simply told me what he thought I should be adjusting diet and training wise and my body responded positively. Amazing!
My official prep started in November. He supplied me diet and workout routines monthly. These plans were by no means easy or cookie cutter. They were built around my crazy work schedule and if It meant he needed to write 3 different meal plans for 3 different work shifts, he did. He checked in with me every day. That was something he did through my entire prep and honestly probably one of the reasons I was able to follow through until the end. I felt like he and I were prepping for this together which made it easier for me, keep my ass in gear and focused. It’s so important to find a coach to be there when you have questions or concerns, he went above and beyond.
January 1st came and it was time to grind even harder. Week after week Gerry checked in on me every day to see how I was feeling. He made adjustments when needed and even when I was completely doubtful it would work, it always F*#%ing did! Molly and would say he was like a wizard! He had an answer for any obstacle we came across along the way. I have said it time and time again “the man knows his stuff” but that’s an understatement.
Show day had arrived finally. The peak week had been a little stressful for myself, being my first. I couldn’t believe how much my body changed day to day , but sure enough it did exactly as Gerry said it would and
by Saturday morning I was ready for the stage. I was truly happy with the way I looked, I couldn’t have been more proud. Gerry guided me through the entire day, he made sure I ate when I needed to, stayed with me while I pumped up back stage and cheered me on when I finally stepped out there. I was in my glory! I would always get harassed for not practicing to smile while I posed but I literally would not have been able to wipe that grin off.
I placed 3rd in both figure open and novice at the 2018 Jay Cutler Classic. I’ll never forget how great it felt to stand there with those metals around my neck. So much time, money and sacrifice go into competing. Gerry understands that. He’s lived it. He knew what I was going through, and we were able to relate to one another. I can’t stress the importance of hiring a knowledgeable coach if you are planning on taking your body to the extreme for a show. Do your research.... be ready to fight for it, it’s not easy!
Gerry Blais is wealth of knowledge, an incredible coach and most importantly a great friend. I can’t thank him enough for making my first experience showing an enjoyable and memorable one. Until the next!

Leo CoutureLeo was quite and interesting and very determined individual. Every six months or so, Leo would come to me with a new challenge. Mainly a weight loss goal as he would put back on the weight we lost each time due to his job. Never the less Leo came all fired up and nothing was going to stop him. We would drop an average of 50-60 pounds each time and the most recent challenge was to accomplish several strength goals. I preparation for our last goal Leo unfortunately fractured him arm and had to wear a solid cast on arm....HE STILL CAME IN AND DID IT ALL!I wish I had on video of him doing full power squats holding that bar on his back barely. He walk in sometimes and say "Lets just do squats today" and push even heavier. There is so much I could say about his character as well. I great kind hearted kid. I was going through a tough time and he advised me to utilize some techniques he had used and Im honest to say he saved my life.
I'm blessed to of known him! |
Sal BeliaFor four years, I had consistently worked at getting as big and strong as possible. The result was a thick, blocky physique; I had thick arms and legs, a wide back,
and broad shoulders and an equally thick midsection. My body resembled that of a power lifter, not a bodybuilder. After seeing a picture of myself this past summer (2002), I was decidedly unhappy with the result of four years of hard training. I yearned for a more aesthetic physique, and I knew what I needed to do to accomplish the task at hand. On August 1st of 2002, my journey began. My weight training basically remained the same as I incorporated cardio (in the form of jogging on the treadmill), as well as cleaning up my diet. Instead of eating to get big, I began eating to get lean. By mid-October, I had dropped about 45 pounds of unhealthy bodyweight, reaching my goal of 250 pounds. I had tightened up quite a bit, as my midsection reduced in size, and I started to see some separation between my muscles. However, I at this point I was still not fully satisfied. I decided to speak with Gerry Blais concerning my nutrition. Not only does Gerry have vast knowledge with respect to bodybuilding nutrition, but he knows how to apply this knowledge in a practical manner as he himself is a competitive bodybuilder. After four years of relatively in-depth research concerning bodybuilding nutrition, I thought I knew everything there was to know. I must say, I was blown away by Gerry's nutritional insight. I must say that if it were not for Gerry Blais, I would not have been able to reach a current bodyweight of a solid, streamlined 215 pounds. Not only have I slashed my body fat levels, but I have improved my muscularity and overall aesthetic. With Gerry's help I plan to make improvements month after month, with a personal goal of competing within the next year. I suggest that anyone looking to improve their effort in the gym speak with Gerry Blais, no matter what level of fitness you may be at |
Peter GangiWhen I came to see Gerry I was 225 lbs and 16% body fat. I had been working out
for 3 months religiously and had lost 12 lbs. I had peeked and could not get my weight or fat down. At the age of 31, I was not where I wanted to be physically. I asked Gerry for help with my diet. He told me that diet was 90% of the training, with out the proper foods my body could not burn the fat needed to become "Lean and Mean". So he gave me a diet and in 4 weeks we body fat tested. I was 208 lbs at 13% body fat. He altered my diet and in 4 more weeks I was 197 at 10% body fat. He altered my diet and we tested 6 weeks later. I was 185 lbs at 8.5%. I looked the best I ever had. And had accomplished my goals of becoming lean and ripped in only 14 weeks. |

I want to start out by thanking Gerry for my new life, that’s right I said new LIFE. It all started with my brother, he was getting married in June in Albania I saw pictures of myself and said there is no way in the world this is really me I got so depressed I would not leave my house. I made excuses not to go out with my friends so I did not have to be seen. I was 264 lbs, and in size XXL-XXXL. My cloths cost more money and I could not find any real nice cloths because they do not make nice stuff for large people. I was sick of this life my blood pressure was at a point where my Doctor said I cannot believe you are here right now your body should be blown up your pressure is at the point a heart attack will happen very soon. With that my girlfriend made an appointment with Gerry knowing that I went to 3 different plastic surgery establishments for lipo suction consults, the smallest procedures ranged from $8,000 – 15,000. I was fed up didn’t know where to turn. So I met with Gerry told him my goal was to get back into my old cloths and look good for my brothers weeding. I started in April of 2010 by June I was down approx 30lbs and here it is now December 2010 and I am down 75 lbs incredible, I am getting looks again, I feel better I am not on any medication I am not out of breath I am ready to take on the world all from the beat down workouts by the one and only Trainer Gerry Blais. I cannot thank him enough and there is not an amount of money I could offer for what he did for me and my life. He is a miracle worker, a magician a good friend and he cares for your being. I would get encouraging texts from Gerry everyday telling me to keep the faith and don’t give up. I could not recommend anyone else to change your life; by the way almost my entire family is working with Gerry & Chrissy because of the results I got from him.
All the best …. (Sidewalk Christian Silvestri) that’s my nick name because the first day I was outside in the pouring rain lying in a puddle ready to die.
