I was referred to Gerry Blaise/Blaze Bodies by Ted Curtain. Ted was my personal trainer 20 to 25 years ago when I lived in New Hampshire, I currently live in Las Vegas since 2003. I was hesitant to contact Gerry at first because I had only known Ted as my trainer. Took me a couple weeks to get over myself and my frustration finally saying to myself "If you don't contact him you will stay in the same spot you are in now, things won't change."
Small background of what I was experiencing at that time, I was having anxiety driving into the parking lot of my gym and so much so sometimes I would drive back out, not even going inside. When I did make it inside the door, I had to force the energy to work out and then cardio was like climbing the steepest mountain. A constant struggle to just finish. When I was younger I was what people would call a "Gym Rat".
I contacted Gerry through email. When Gerry replied he was incredibly enthusiastic from the first moment. Felt like he couldn't wait to help me. What an amazing feeling that was.
What I was looking for, at the time, was a basic meal plan (not a diet) with supplements to get me back on track and feeling comfortable in my own skin again. I did not need a workout plan. So much has changed in 20 years.
I have been working, as a team (as he calls it), with Gerry for about 3 or 4 years now, he is my Coach. Is my coach, Gerry knows I do not take shortcuts and unfortunately this won't be short either. In the time I have had the pleasure of working with Gerry, he is a sea of knowledge and his knowledge is impeccable. Totally enthusiastic about what he does and how much he brings to the table. His value is unmatched.
I would say, within the first 3 months of working my meal plan, we transformed my being into the exact person I was looking for again. I worked my meal plan to the "T". This was a lifestyle change for me, I was able to work it and stay the course because I enjoyed what I was eating, this was my fuel for my body.
Gerry has several questions he has you fill out and answer then he does all the number work. What he came back with for me was perfect and totally doable. It works as long as you work it! Mamma got her grove back, thanks to the team we have.
Gerry always explains why I am doing what I am doing and the reason behind everything. If I happen to have a question, he would answer in the fastest time possible(3 hour time difference between LV and NH), Gerry is on top of everything. He has standards for himself to be there for his clients. No question goes on answered.
About two and a half to 3 years in, I went to my friend's bodybuilding competition to watch and see if I might get "the itch". Well of course I did. I contacted Coach G and said "I did it, I got the itch, let's do this." His enthusiasm and excitement was through the roof, so very supportive.
Coach G got back to me with a new workout plan individualized just for me and itemized by body parts, exercises, reps, rest periods and so on. Of course it totally works as long as you work it. I was loving every single workout at the gym. I was pumped. Coach G said as the show gets closer he will have "diets" for me all the way to the day of my show.
Not sure who was more dedicated and determined, Coach G or myself. What I knew for sure is that this team works exceptionally well together, even across the United States.
7 weeks out from my show in Arizona and we hit the ground running. Coach asked for weekly progress pictures, which were difficult for me (just not something I do regularly). Coach G is completely and totally supportive. He had me the entire road to the show and then some if I needed any extra support. I knew I wasn't doing it alone, even though I actually was (The only person I had with me physically was my 14-year-old daughter) I cannot even express how much it meant to me to have Gerry as my coach. The work coach G does is unmatched, he is a sea of knowledge and I am the privileged one to now have a tiny piece of his wisdom in health. This for me was an investment in myself and a small lifestyle change, which has worked for me cuz I worked it. Coach guided me, motivated me and encouraged me 150% of the time. We worked as a team and Coach G will be my forever friend and Coach.
By the way, I should add that at my show I won my division, first place in Women's Physique Masters 50 plus and second place in Women's Physique Novice. This would have been unattainable, had I not contacted Coach G. I wouldn't change it for the world. We are an incredible team. The only other thought I have is if I had the opportunity to physically be at the gym and train with coach we would be unstoppable, in my opinion. Coach G has given me the missing puzzle pieces to my life puzzle. I will be forever grateful and blessed to have Coach G in my life. Thank you Coach, not just from me, from everyone you have coached for your outstanding commitment to people and their health. You have inspired me and so many others.

Recently, one of my female clients asked me.... “What do I have to do to look like that??”
She said … “I’ll do anything to look like that. “ I had shown her a recent picture of my competitive client Linda. I wanted to emphasize the fact that Linda was nearly 50 years old but still looked like she’s 25.
I then preceded to say … “It’s definitely possible! You would need to:
*Get up at 3:30am every day and get on treadmill for one hour BEFORE EATING ANYTHING….
*You CAN NOT EAT ANY sugar, processed or Junk food OF ANY kind...
*You CAN NOT DRINK ALCOHOL of ANY kind….
*You MUST weight train EVERY DAY (no matter crappy you feel) ….
*You must go back to gym and do ANOTHER HOUR of Cardio at end of day even though you’ve been on your feet at work for 12 hours and can barely stand….
*You CAN NOT go out to eat and MUST make you food from ONLY FRESH sources …
*You MUST meal prep either daily or days in advance ….
I then continued to tell her….
EVEN WHEN YOUR FEELING horrible, headache, dizzy, bitchy, tired, zero energy YOU STILL have to workout and do your cardio EVERY DAY…and IT WILL GET WORSE THE BETTER YOU LOOK!!
You’ll lose your period, your hormones will get thrown out of whack, you’ll more than likely have insomnia every night. Your boyfriend or Husband will be pissed at you constantly and you’ll want to cry all the time. And make it all sound even better…. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS FOR 6 MONTHS or MORE!
I then said, “How’s all that sound?” ….. The girl was speechless and immediately got off the subject.
The fact of the matter is THAT’s A FRACTION of what Linda went through to look the way she does.
The past 6 months Linda and I have been preparing for our 4th show. All the above sacrifices mentioned were “our normal”. To make matters even more demanding Linda had a Thyroid issue that was really interfering with our mission. Every show changes a female’s physiology and it gets more and more challenging to drop to show condition. Linda’s thyroid was being stubborn, and I had to analyze our situation to work around it. We finally got control of things around 6 weeks out from show. The scale started to drop and bodyfat levels decreased. Linda was exhausted and really pushing hard to keep things going. I did my best to keep her focused and reassured her we can do this.
Show had arrived finally. We hit the numbers we were striving for. Bodyfat lower than last and scale as well. SACRIFICE delivered!!WE MADE IT!!Now we needed to deliver our best presentation. We were entering a new conference and this one was HUGE. The INBF/WNBF is a big organization that brings hundreds of AMAZING competitors from all over the country to qualify for their Pro Worlds show. I couldn’t believe how big this show was. There had to be over 300-400 competitors!!!Yikes!!
We stayed focused and kept to our mission. After a long wait through prejudging it was time to Rock.
Linda went out their laser focused and determined. Toe to Toe with some incredible ladies she fought hard. She was there to give her best. Her best paid off!!
2nd place in the Open Masters Bikini division -2019 INBF/WNBF Monster Mash
Linda can relax now but trust me…she will be right back to the daily Battle. The Battle NEVER ends!!

Since elementary school I’ve always tried to push the envelope regarding individual athletic accomplishments. As an elementary school student, I ran middle school cross country and would continually excel against much older competition. That trend continued into High School when I ran a mile in personal best 4 minutes 44 seconds, good enough for States.
But nothing could compare to my exploits in Competitive Bodybuilding under the tutelage of Gerry Blais. If you don’t know, Gerry is a former Marine & New England Bodybuilding Champion, who now trains athletes at Infinite Fitness. I was introduced to Gerry by a mutual friend and I was immediately impressed by his enthusiasm for all things related to fitness, from his training methods, to his diet and exercise routines, not to mention his chiseled physique.
With Gerry’s enthusiasm and dedication to training, it didn’t take long for us to develop this mutual friendship, as I prepared for my first bodybuilding show. With Gerry as my trainer, coaching me to be the best that I could be, I was excited for this new bodybuilding challenge.
The training program was exhausting, and the diet was grueling, but uplifting, as Gerry would analyze my progress weekly and provide motivation and encouragement that this dedication would be worth it in the end.
It was an amazing ride and I could not have accomplished my goal of placing in a Natural Bodybuilding show without his guidance. Gerry is an awesome trainer, one of a kind, and a great guy, and he’s made a lasting impression on me. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any athlete that is looking to improve their overall fitness and “Be the Best that They Can Be”
Thanks Gerry, you are “The Best!”

My journey started for me about 4 years ago. I woke up one day and realized I completely let myself go. I hadn't been to a gym in years, I made up excuses why and ate like shit and drank almost every single night. It was time to get myself back in shape. The first year was easy I was progressing quickly and happy then came to a halt. I found myself falling back down going back to piss poor habits and falling back where I started. Two years ago, I start lifting at HHF and met Gerry. We would have conversations from time to time. I always wanted to compete and get into the body building life style. Finally, about mid- April 2018 I decided I was going all in. We would compete in the NPC New England's in Boston
Gerry came up with multiple plans for me one for my days off and one for when I worked. He is a true genius (mad scientist) when it comes to the human body. I knew nothing about this. Carb tapering, load and de-loading phases, regulating blood sugar (what the heck was all of this stuff). I was just thought you ate and lifted. I was completely wrong! I would follow his programming spot on I never missed a meal (trust me you won’t either) I would never miss when to take my supplements. He would text me and check in on me. It was if he knew I was close to falling off. My worst days I would get a "Keep going don't stop" I would think he was watching me lol. He believed in me which is hard for me as I never believed in myself so how could somebody else. This is when I knew I was All in and wouldn't settle for anything less. If he had that much excitement and drive for me I better as hell go balls out and give the same back.
We made it to show day (about 2 hours sleep that night before) and I was nervous and didn't want to be there. I am not a person that wants to stand out in crowd never mind be in underwear posing in front of complete room full of strangers. Again, he was with me the whole day he was in my corner. He would tell me stories and got me pumped up where I wanted to go out there and show what we had accomplished. We took 5th in Novice Classic Physique and 5th in Master’s over-35.Classic Physique
Not only did I get my confidence I achieved so much more clarity in my head. I am now sober for 10 months and never been at peace mentally in my own head in years.Gerry started out as someone I would say hello to walking by, to coach, friend to someone I consider a brother to me.
Thank you for everything Gerry this will never be forgotten and look forward to much more progression.

Were do I even begin?!...
Last year I was asked by a close friend to coach an employee of his for her very first show. As Ive said before, I have been contest prepping for as long as I’ve been competing myself but only as a hobby. I don’t do it for the money. I do it because I truly enjoy the excitement of guiding people towards their own personal greatness. I turn away 90% of people for contest preparation as MOST people do not have what it takes to get on that stage.I mean no disrespect by saying that. Its literally THE most challenging thing one can experience. I respect one’s desire to do a show BUT it’s got to be for THEM…not for attention. They must want it to learn about the journey. Its priceless knowledge that will be remembered for the remainder of their lives.
Last year Molly won the overall of that show and was granted “Pro” level status. After the show we discussed our strategy to improve for following year. Our goal was to do first Pro show and then do a HUGE NPC event immediately after. It was going to be some serious accomplishments as the NPC show is high level caliper and we would need to bring in our best. Molly was more than excited for the season ahead.
Molly had a close friend in the gym she trains at who was curious about competing herself. She informed me that she wanted to do her first show, and we talked about what was required and what was instore. Our initial goal was to get to bodyfat percentage before we begin prep. Once we hit that number we would begin preparing. Our goal was to do the NPC Jay Cutler classic in Boston. This is a monster of a show that brings 200-300 HIGH LEVEL athletes. Amanda was on board with it and did not think twice. She had “that look” in her eyes. The look I needed to see to know she would go the distance.
After a couple months of Amanda krushing it on her own she dropped down to pre-prep level of bodyfat and we began the journey. Fortunately, Molly was also prepping for same show, so this was very helpful for support. These two ladies were not going to let anything get in there way.
Its hard to explain what goes though the minds of someone preparing for a big show. The female body was not designed to be super low in bodyfat and it fights back hard!. There are times that become so tough mentally (AND physically) that most can’t handle it.9 out of every 10 cant make the journey. It takes BALLS(ovaries)to go the distance. Amanda and Molly displayed the heart and determination to achieve. It was not easy by any means every step of the way …but they did it!!!
Molly competed in her first ever PRO show in Maine at the 2018 OCB Pine Tree state in Maine. She took 3rd place out of 8 seasoned Pros in her first professional event. It was incredible!!Now we needed to stay in condition for the Jay Cutler classic in two weeks. Amanda was grinding hard herself and both girls were determined!!They motivated each other when times got tough. They stayed consistent with their nutrition and never let any stone unturned along the way.BY NO MEANS was it easy and they had their share of obstacles but that’s what the journeys all about. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EASY!!
Fast forward to SHOWDAY….Molly and Amanda brought their very best!!!
Molly took:
2nd place in Bikini “Under 23” division
2nd place in Bikini “Novice’ division
3rd place in the Bikini “OPEN” going against some super serious ladies
Amanda took:
3rd place in Figure “Novice”
3rd place in Figure “OPEN”….IN HER FIRST SHOW!!…and holy crap those ladies were jacked!!
CONGRATS Molly and Amanda!

Over the past 30 years of competing myself and preparing others for competitions I've learned a lot. One of the most absolute certainties regarding competing is it will forever change your life. It’s something incredible that no other person ill every understand unless they experience it themselves. It takes someone of great mental fortitude to maintain the ups and downs mentally (more downs than ups) throughout the preparation process. Going months of suffering through mental and physical exhaustion, having to maintain a fulltime job and personal relationships feeling like you’re going to die will truly challenge one’s inner strength. You learn a lot about yourself and you most definitely learn who truly supports you and hall most definitely does not. Your “real” friends will become obvious and stand by you through all the bad and be supportive and the jealous and insecure will show their selfish colors.
When someone contacts me to train them for a competition, I can tell within minutes if they have what it takes to go the distance. To be perfectly honest only 10%(9 out of 10 fail) of people who make that initial decision follow through. All these decades, I've seen it all. Most people THINK they can do it but crash and burn. MOST just want the attention and they “say” they are competing for social media. I’ve arrived at a point in my life where I will make the decision to prep some on solely based on the first five minutes of a conversation. If they don't have what it takes I will not begin the journey with them. I limit myself to only 2 people a year and have done that for 30 years now.
Recently I was asked a favor by a very good friend of mine who is also been in the same field and someone I have great respect for. He asked me to contest prep one of his employees for her first competition. Knowing my friend very well and knowing he would not of asked me unless he had full confidence that she could do it, I excepted the challenge and met with her.Her name is Molly Messina. Within the first 5 minutes of conversation I immediately knew she was destined for success. Besides the obvious gifted genetics, this girl had drive in her eyes. She had the fire in her. I remember walking away from or conversation thinking this girl is gifted.
When you are given the great responsibility of "taking the wheel “and directing the absolute outcome of someone’s dream is scary. You have to know exactly what you’re doing not only when everting’s going good but most definitely when things go wrong (and things will). I consider myself to be the most organized and neurotic person I know and probably get stressed 100% more than the person prepping. I consider it to be just as serious as when I get on stage myself and with the added responsibility of her outcome, I give every ounce of mental and physical energy to ensure she steps on stage looking her absolute best. We began our journey.
After 16 weeks of absolute precision with nutrition and a mental and physical rollercoaster ride, It was time showcase what hard work and determination look like. Molly pushed through a lot and learned a lot about herself. One can lose it a lot of the time but together we kept her head straight and focused on the mission. We were ready. Bring it!!!
On June 10, 2017 Molly Messina showed up to deliver and deliver she did. Molly DOMINATED her novice division...CRUSHED the Open division (girls who have been competing for YEARS)...and TOOK THE OVERALL and awarded the great honor of PRO-status on her first show. She owned it!!!!!I was yelling so loud with pride in the audience I thought security was going to escort me out. I could not of been prouder. I was so happy for her!
Molly is currently in the off season process and preparing for he first Pro show in 2018

What is there to say about Gerry! He is a man of great vision. It started in February 2017. Now if you have never actually spoken to Gerry he comes off quite intimidating when you catch him in his natural habitat (the gym). This guy goes from one thing to the next, keeps his head down and bolts. Not one nod, smile, or even a chance to breathe. Oh yeah and did I mention my boss had to make me introduce myself to my future Bikini Prep Coach. Let’s just say I managed to get his attention right when he was leaving. The second I met him you could instantly see how passionate this man is about his work. You find that his soul purpose of existence is improving your lifestyle and helping you reach everything you could possibly dream of. Gerry became a best friend of mine during and after competition prep. With daily, “Good mornings, go kick some a**, you’re on fire!” reminders and the occasional “stay focused, x time left,” right when I was about to take a bite of a delicious looking burger, he kept me in check and sane. His meal and workout plans are perfect to the T for your body. He got more excited about the competition then I was and you have to remember I SIGNED UP FOR THIS. Like I said before Gerry is a man of great vision. He can see way further into the future and knows what to expect. He plans according and adjusts when needed. When my goal started to seem just a little to high, he gave me a reason to reach a little bit more. He is a great coach, mentor and friend. I could not ask for a more better human in my life then him.
Thanks Gerry,
Molly

When my goal started to seem just a little to high, he gave me a reason to reach a little bit more. He is a great coach, mentor and friend. I could not ask for a more better human in my life then him.
Thanks Gerry,
Molly

Age is not an Obstacle
By Gerry Blais

One of the biggest obstacles for a woman is keeping her body in control and maintaining her physical condition. When younger we tend to take our fitness for granted and assume we can “get away” with things. As we age (I call it “chronologically progression) the female physiology takes a challenging turn as we all know. One needs to take action early in her 20’s to fight the inevitable battle ahead.
Recently, a 45 years young Linda Nunez decided to not only fight the inevitable fight but, take it a step further and compete in a big competition that ultimately challenges one beyond mental and physical. In addition to owning one of the most successful hair salons of Andover MA, she also has worked through many physical injuries over the years. She was not going to let Mother nature win.
Working with a personal trainer and competition coach, Linda devoted 10 months of the most grueling challenge and transformed her body into a completely different person. She pushed herself harder than she ever has and the big day came. She was about to step on stage with girl’s half her age, most of who have been competing for years.
On June 10,2017 Linda brought almost a year of serious determination to the competitive stage at the 2017 OCB North Shore Natural held in Peabody MA. Linda was ready to prove to confirm to herself that a hard-working woman in her 40’s could stand against the battle of youth.
Linda placed in the top 4 of her division never competing before. Her journey not only changed her physically but mentally in many ways. Never again was she going to let Mother nature beat her.
As an inspiration to all ladies in their 40’s and beyond, Linda proved ANYONE can do it.
You just have to want it bad enough.

What more is there to say other than "Gerry Blais Rocks!" I met Gerry about 10
years ago through mutual friends. At that point I had been working out for
about three years trying every diet and work-out routine out there with little
to no results. When I would see or talk to Gerry I would pick his brain
here and there, and apply the input that he gave me to my training and
dieting. After making significant gains on my own with just the little
tidbits of advice that he gave me, and a little coercing from some friends, I
decided to enter my first bodybuilding show. And who better to ask for
guidance than Gerry. Gerry took care of everything for me. From
diets, to workouts, posing tips, and above all inspiration and motivation.
Gerry just has a way of being very supportive. Even on those days that you
want to give up, he is full of motivational words. My first contest was the NPC New England’s, where I went from 125 pounds and 19% body fat to weighing in at 100 pounds at 11% and taking 2nd place in the lightweights.A year later I decided to do it all again. And who better to rely on, than Gerry! Following his advice and listening to his sincere support and belief in me, I won the lightweight class at the NPC Natural Eastern
Classic. Weighing in at 105 at 10%. Gerry is so full of knowledge regarding nutrition, training, and the human body. I think Gerry is a guru
by his own right, and would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking to get into the best shape of their life, whether it be for a bodybuilding show or just a personal goal.
Like I said Gerry Blais ROCKS!

*Jena is now a very successful woman running her own fitness business. Kicking ass!
My journey with Mr.Blais began 4 weeks out from the 2003 New Englands.
I had been training for the show, and had gotten my body fat down to about
11-12%. I knew I needed to lose more, especially in my lower half, but I
needed help. I had trained for a couple of shows in the past with other
trainers. I did okay, but I never got as lean as I wanted to. I
knew I was an animal in the gym, but that something just wasn't right with my
diet. I was discouraged, and I trusted no one. No one but Gerry
Blais!!! I had heard from numerous people that this man could work magic.
So 4 weeks out I dragged myself into Powerhouse Gym. The gym was just
about to close, and I'm sure Gerry was dying to get out of there, but he closed
up and let me stay. He took a look at me, calmed me down, and even though
I'm sure he didn't have the time, he made the time to train me for the next 4
weeks. Because Gerry really cares about people. In 4 weeks my legs made
progress, but more importantly Gerry gave me the mental support I needed at
that time. I didn't do as well as I had hoped that year, but we made
plans to team up again the following January.
After anxiously waiting January 1st finally arrived. I feel extremely lucky to
have had the opportunity to train with Gerry. But what made the
experience indescribably inspiring was that Gerry was also training himself for
the same show. Gerry showed extreme dedication to not only me, but to his
own training as well. Knowing that training the two of us at the same
time had to be somewhat challenging motivated me more then ever. So I
trained day in and day out following Gerry's diet perfectly, and I mean
PERFECTLY!! Not a crumb entered my mouth without the permission of Mr. Blais for
over 4 months! The result was truly fabulous!! I had finally gotten
the physique I had been imagining in my head since I started training for my
very first show! The day of the show I weighed in at 103lbs, at 7.?? body
fat. I could not have been happier! Gerry told me how proud of me he
was, and because I had grown to admire and respect this man so much, I realized
my placing was irrelevant. It was Gerry's opinion that I valued the most.

Back in April of 2001 I approached Gerry and asked him if he would help me prepare for the
ANBC Yankee Classic on July 28th. My original goal was to be in the best shape I
could for the show and, since it was my first one, I had no expectations on my
placement. This having been my first show I didn't know the first step to
take in regards to how to diet or train for a show. Gerry said he would help me
and he was the best person I could have in my corner. He went above and
beyond what I asked him to do. Gerry not only did my diet and my training, but
he was also my coach and mentor giving me the emotional and mental support I
needed as well as additional information like the proper way to tan, the kind of
posing trunks to get, and the type of music needed for the night show.
When I first met Gerry I was 170 pounds and around 8.5% bodyfat. He explained the whole process of dieting to me and why I could eat certain things and reasons why I couldn't have others. My diet changed every few weeks, and included in the diet would also be a guide to train with the exact number of sets and reps, along with the supplements needed to be taken and what brand he preferred. On the day of the show, I was down to 157 pounds and a ripped 4% bodyfat. Gerry not only helped me achieve my goal, but also enabled me to exceed my expectations by placing 5th, in the novice class. I looked the best I ever had, and I thought the way I looked at the show could only be seen in my dreams.
Gerry's knowledge about training and dieting is vast, and his knowledge can only help
you achieve your goals that you have set. Through himself, and his clients, it
is proven fact that his knowledge and help supply the results desired. During
the training for my show, I met one of Gerry's old friends who referred to him
as a "nutritional genius", and I know that with a genius on your side, one
cannot go wrong. G.Blais Performance is the way to go! Thank you Gerry.

Before I started training for the 2003 Yankee Classic, I asked Gerry is he would help me and
guide me along the way. Since, he had previously trained me in 2001, I
still had the diet he wrote for me which included training and supplementation. Gerry advised me, that I follow his original plan, and
determining how I was looked and how I felt, we could tweak the plan along the
way, and we did just that. This having been my second competition, I realized that my body reacted differently this time from the first time. I leaned up fairly quickly, and I was afraid of dropping too much weight, and losing too much muscle. I did not want to flatten
out. I spoke to Gerry about my concerns, and he said, not to worry, and he would change what we had done the first time. He manipulated my diet and
supplement intake as he said this would not flatten me out, and I would come in dialed into the contest ready to Roar. Gerry was right on target. My body
reacted just as he said it would with the different combinations of food, and tweaking my supplements the last week so that I would
not dehydrate myself too much. I had many tough days when i wanted to stop, quit, and do it next year instead. When I told
Gerry my thoughts about giving up, he was my mentor giving me the pep talks I needed to keep me focused, determined, and dedicated. After each talk with Gerry, I found myself more and more determined to get to the day of the
show. In that respect, I think Gerry should be a motivational speaker. He talks you through the road blocks and the
barriers. I ended taking first in the junior class, the men's open medium class while also winning the overall show. It was something I only dreamed of. Gerry talks about my win, like he has fire coming out of his eyes, as if it was he had won the overall, but in fact he did win in a very big way. Gerry trains me, and I am a reflection of him, and his efforts. When I win, he essentially wins as well, and that
must make him feel so good...that his knowledge and effort has paid off.Gerry, I am glad to have had known you and had the experience twice of having you train me for competition. I have to say, if it was not for Gerry, Powerhouse Gym would not be what it is. You make that gym, and you make me feel even better knowing that I have your support, and you are the only direction I will turn to
when I need the advice to train for nationals. You are a class act
in every sense of the word. Your knowledge and dedication to your clients

I've been at the gym for quite a few years, always trying to stay health and be in
shape. I felt there was "more to it", than what I was doing. I
needed a challenge and a goal. That's were Gerry came into the
picture. He challenged me for sure! With all his knowledge and
determination he transformed my body into the "competitive" area of
bodybuilding. We worked hard for 15 weeks, with diets and workouts.
It was fun!! He got my bodyfat down from 20% to 10%. I entered my
contest and placed 2nd. Now, I am even more determined to do it again and strive for that 1st place.
Thanks Gerry!

I am 25 years old and an avid bodybuilder. I have been lifting weights for over 13 years and competing for
over 8. I had entered the 2004 NPC New England Championships and was
referred to a trainer from a friend of mine. To sum up a long story, I
competed but was not pleased with the results that I attained. As fate would
have it, this is also the same contest where I first got to speak with Gerry. I
had seen him before but never really spoke to him in detail. After that day
I left the venue with my competitive career on hold. I mean after 11 years
of training at the time and the assistance of a trainer I still couldn't achieve
my desired results I didn't know what else to do. I was contemplating another contest and was unsure if I should enter, bodybuilding requires so much effort
and I was not prepared to be disappointed again. That's when Gerry's name was
mentioned again. I sent him an email asking for his assistance which he gladly
accepted. I met with him, we spoke in great detail as to what my goal was and my
dieting, training and cardiovascular schedules. I was given my first meal plan
and training schedule and I began. Within no time I noticed a
change. My body was responding. The whole purpose of bodybuilding in
my eyes is to better yourself physically as well as mentally. Gerry helped me to
accomplish this and more. I competed in the best condition of my life.
I feel that bears repeating: THE BEST CONDITION OF MY LIFE!! Everything he did with regards to my diet and training was designed to provide a certain response from my body. It was as if a NASCAR mechanic was fine tuning a race car for optimal performance. Every part of the program was laid out in such detail and in an easy to follow format, I was truly surprised at how stress free my whole experience was. What more can I say but Gerry is genius. Over the years I have seen my fair share of trainers in various gyms. There are plenty of them around. You can walk into any area gym and find some who will train you. The unfortunate e truth is a lot of these trainers are nothing more than reputation counters and gym friends. And I have seen all too many times clients looking the same month after month working with these individuals. If you are truly looking to achieve your goals and want a trainer who is every bit as serious, if not more than you are about reaching them, there is only one person that I would recommend. That man is Gerry Blais. Gerry Thank you for all you have and continue to do for me, I truly appreciate everything.

*This was written some time ago. Eddie is still kick'n ass out there
Six years ago I was in a bad car accident, I shattered my heel and had a compound fracture on my
right arm. Soon after I started very light weightlifting at the Lowell YMCA to
gain strength and movement in my leg and arm. One day a friend of mine suggested
that I go to Powerhouse gym with him where he was a member. I was addicted after
that. There I began to train more seriously and as I watched other people work
out it gave me more confidence and motivation to do more. Going to
Powerhouse and seeing all the pictures and trophies gave me a goal that someday
I might be able to compete or even be considered to compete. Soon after that I began talking to Gerry Blais who told me about all his accomplishments as a Body builder I was totally impressed I knew he would be the person that would guide me to reaching my goal to compete in a Body Building show. I trained intensely knowing that I would have to give it my all. Gerry guided me through the whole 8 weeks of strict dieting and training. With Gerry's confidence and dedication in me it made reaching my goals more realistic. The BIG day had finally arrived. I weighed in at a whopping 135lbs. at 4% body fat. As I noticed the other competitors I became a little nervous, but Gerry told me to go out there and have a good time. When I stepped out on stage I knew I looked my best. In my head I thought even if I don't place I finally did it. Gerry was there
with me the whole time and coached me through the whole experience. I would have to say it was the best time of my life. I had no intentions of winning any awards but I ended up winning the First place in both the Men's junior, novice and best poser. All the hard training and dieting paid off. Without the help of Gerry I probably wouldn't have made it on stage.
-Gerry may think that by me winning the trophies and impressing my family made me happy but what really did it was when I stepped out on stage and saw the big smile on Gerry's face. I knew I made him proud and gained his friendship and respect.
Thanks for Everything Gerry..

2002 ANBC Yankee Classic !st Place Junior Class,1st Place Novice class and Best Poser
Patt Swett
It all started one day at World Gym in Chelmsford. I spotted an old friend that
I had lost touch with after high school (about 5 years ago at the time). The friends name was Eddie Matos and as I remembered him, he was a skinny as a rail. But not this Eddie, this one was all jacked up and looked
awesome. I went over to say hi and find out what he had done in the past few years to have such an impressive transformation. He explained that he typically worked out at Powerhouse Gym in Methuen where he trained as a competitive bodybuilder under the supervision of Gerry Blais, who had helped Eddie to take 1st Place in his last competition. I took one more look at Eddie’s physique and knew that I WANTED IN!!!I dropped my old gym and followed Eddie to Powerhouse, where he introduced me to the “Master”, G. Blais himself. For the next ten months I took my body on
a rollercoaster ride I will never forget. With Eddie as my training partner and Gerry as my nutritional consultant, I knew I was in good
hands. In seven months I had gained almost 20lbs. of mostly lean muscle and weight 195lbs. But now came the fun part, THE DIET!!. I
was eight weeks away from my competition and Gerry put together a strict diet which would prepare me to shine at the show. The diet phase was one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I had ever experienced in my life. Luckily, Gerry was there at the gym everyday picking up my spirits and pushing me on with sayings like “Be a Warrior!”. I truly think I couldn’t have done it without him.On the day of the competition, I weighed 157lbs. and my body fat was an astonishing 4%. Gerry’s plan had worked. I finished the show with a 2nd Place in the Men’s Open Tall Division and a 1st
Place for Best Poser. Gerry was there to see it all, like a proud father in the audience with his camcorder and smile, I knew I had achieved something great.
Gerry, Thank You for EVERYTHING!!
Ever since I was young,
I've always loved the thrill of competition, whether it be on the baseball field or basketball court. I
initially began lifting 7 years ago, not only for sports, but because I was a skinny kid. When I stopped playing sports, I needed something to fuel that competitive fire. I went to my first bodybuilding show, the 2001 ANBC Yankee Classic to support Chris Laird. And after watching it, that competitive fire was rekindled once again. I continued to train faithfully, always keeping the thought of my first show in the back of my mind. After attending the Yankee Classic in 2002, and seeing the success Eddie Matos achieved, I was sold, and decide I wanted to be the one to represent Powerhouse the following year. The first person I approached about this was Gerry. Between his own success as a national-level bodybuilder, and the success of his clients, there was no one better I wanted to help me make my dreams a reality. When I asked him if he could help me, he was more than willing to take me under his wing. Gerry was there through the ups and downs of my 11 weeks of dieting and training, giving me the motivation and determination, the mental edge I needed, to pull through the rocky times. He would never allow me to second guess myself, when I thought my lack of size would be an issue. He would always think of the positive, telling me to imagine just how "ripped" I would look on stage. On the day of the show, I weighed in at 165 lbs. and 4% body fat. I k new I was in the best shape of my life. But I also knew that it would never have been possible without the guidance and expertise of Gerry. I can't thank you enough Gerry.

April of 2000 I decided with the support of my wife to
enter my first body building show. Having no experience I looked to Gerry
Blais to guide me into the direction of success. I asked him to write a diet and
a training program that I could follow. What I ended up with was a
professional and detailed program that was not only easy to follow but became an
intricate part of my continuous training. I leaned on Gerry for support and motivation. Any
question I had was taken with seriousness and answered with enthusiasm. In
short Gerry has a passion and the knowledge to help anyone that wants to achieve any goal. The man knows his stuff.I would like to thank Gerry again for all his help and support.

I can remember my ride home from the restaurant.
I was sitting in the back seat of my parents car when I was 25 years
old. I had to unbuckle my belt because I was so uncomfortable from sitting upright as my belt was digging in to my stomach. This was the moment I realized that all the work I was doing in the gym since I was 17 was getting me nowhere. I needed to change my life, but had no idea where to begin. I had a friend that took first place in a bodybuilding competition. I called him to ask how to achieve such a physique. His name was Pat Swett, and his answer was Gerry Blais.I contacted Gerry the very next day. Without ever meeting or knowing anything about me, Gerry was ready to take me on. This was one of the most important moments of my life, which changed me forever. That day I was 205 LBS. Gerry set a goal for me, which was to compete in a bodybuilding competition in July. It was nice to have a personal goal, but what I learned about Gerry was that it was never my goal. It was our goal. He was with me the whole way. Gerry would check on me daily to be sure that I was OK and made himself
available for support or pretty much anything that I needed from him. I took second place in my first competition at 165 LBS, and Gerry was there to witness my accomplishment. Two Years later, with Gerry’s guidance, I took first place. It's funny now, because it is 5 years later and I still follow the fundamentals that Gerry placed in me. What feels most rewarding, is when people approach me to see how I stay so fit.
My answer is Gerry Blais. He changed my life.

Gerry Blais........what can I say? The guy is sharp...
When I went to see him back in January this year he gave me so
much confidence in myself. When he compliments you it means a tremendous
amount to me coming from a national level bodybuilder. He also gave me the
constructive criticism that I wanted to hear. He gave me some suggestions
on how to bring up my triceps and calfs. Well I went out and did it and won my class at the New
Englands last Sunday 5/5/02. I got second place in 2000 and 2001 but this year I was the goon!!!!
Gerry I LOVE YOU MAN *lol

Ryan Bartolotta
My name is Ryan Bartolotta, and I competed in the 2013 NPC Jay Cutler Classic on
May 5th (5th Place), the Montanari Powerhouse Classic on April 27
(3rd Place) and the 2012 NPC New Hampshire Championships last October
(1st Place). These three competitions had one common factor, and that
is the unyielding force behind my accomplishments, his name is Gerry Blais. I
honestly cannot say enough about his dedication to seeing me through these events, and helping me to make my goals come to fruition. My day would start with a 4:30 am call or text from Gerry, asking me what my current weight was, and that was only the beginning of our correspondence throughout the day, and many time nights. He coached me in my workouts, lifting as well as cardio, and diet throughout my training for these competitions. He would send me diet and workout plans to follow, which were extremely important in my training. I would receive constant texts asking me how I was doing, not only physically, but mentally. He totally understood the stress that training can put on you, and gave me support whenever I needed it. I could contact him at any hour of the day, and if he didn’t answer his phone, he would return my calls immediately, and was on top of every question or concern I had.Gerry is a true motivator and mentor to me. I owe him a debt of gratitude for all the time, effort and consideration he has given me over the past few years. I can honestly say I’m not sure I would have come this far without his constant presence and influence in my training. Gerry is a rare breed of elite trainers that still exist; I would highly recommend him for anyone who wants to succeed in their fitness goals. I appreciate this opportunity to speak on his behalf.
